Tesco gives more every year
Just like in former years, Tesco made great efforts in 2017 to give more to customers day after day. Tesco Hungary’s operations director Zsolt Pártos told our magazine that last year they had expanded the Tesco Online Shopping and the Scan&Shop services, and they had enlarged the product selection. Tesco continued the fight against food waste: presently they give leftover food from 140 stores to people in need every day, in cooperation with the Hungarian Food Bank Association. For the third time Tesco has been honoured with the Responsible Supporter Trademark of the Hungarian Donors Forum.
Mr Pártos informed that there are more than 200 Tesco stores in Hungary, from which many were modernised last year. In 2017 the chain intends to keep working on a plan for facing the challenges of the workforce shortage via training and educational programmes. Tesco serves shoppers in many different formats, from hypermarkets to home delivery. In 2018 the store modernisation programme continues and more partner brands will turn up in stores in more cities. //
