AM: 8.6 billion support HUF for breeding sows this year
In 2019, the government earmarked 8.6 billion forints for breeding sows and 10.5 billion forints for animal welfare in the budget – Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said on Monday at the handover ceremony of the pig farm of the Hevesi family in Mindszent.
More and more family businesses will find their place in the pig sector – Nagy István said, according to the communication of the Ministry of Agriculture sent to MTI.
The head of the ministry added that up to 29 billion HUF support has been granted for the modernization of pig farms in the Rural Development Program for the development of about 200 pig farms. (MTI)
