Without water permit, farmers can irrigate free of charge to mitigate the spring drought, as part of the extraordinary irrigation water use – Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel.
The measure was introduced by the government due to the drought, so farmers could use 1200 cubic meters of water without a special permit in an area of about 100 hectares for a maximum of one month, in a period of persistent water shortage. (MTI)
