Kopint-Tárki expects four percent economic growth for 2019
Kopint-Tárki forecasts economic growth of 4 percent and inflation of 3 percent for 2019, according to the Institute’s first annual business report.
After last year’s 4.9 percent GDP growth, the relatively high growth forecast for this year is mainly based on the use of EU-funded projects this year. Although most of the resources available for Hungary in the 2014-2020 planning cycle have already been allocated by the budget, at the end of 2018, 3,100 billion forints of unspent grants were received by the beneficiaries.
