Cabbage consumption reduces the risk of bowel cancer
Certain vegetables, including cabbage, broccoli and cabbage is able to reduce the risk of developing bowel cancer with a special compound.
Crustaceous vegetables have long been shown to have beneficial effects on the intestines, but it has not been clear how exactly this is being done. Researchers of the Francis Crick Institute in London, however, have shown that anticancer compounds are produced during the digestion of vegetables – the BBC’s news portal wrote. (MTI)
