It will soon be decided what the bread of the year will be like. The Hungarian Bakers’ Association announced its Bread Competition again this year, the first jury of which took place yesterday afternoon. Hungarian bakers compete in two categories, the traditional St. Stephen’s Day Bread and the Innovative Bread. True to tradition, the general public will be able to taste the bread of the year for the first time on August 20th.

Two rounds of professional juries will judge the IX. He called products for his bread competition, the first round of which was held yesterday afternoon. The professional jury selected from nearly half a hundred loaves the ones that could appear before the July second round jury. (The second round jury press will be public.)
The competition started this year in 2 categories: St. Stephen’s Day Bread and Innovative Bread. The aim of the several categories is to present the creativity of Hungarian bakers. In the Innovative category – which was very popular among the competitors – they could name herbal, spicy breads. In addition to the members of the Hungarian Bakers’ Association, any Hungarian bakery company could start with the bread.
