The snack market is shrinking
The domestic consumption of products hit by the public health product tax is decreasing. “The market has shrunk with 15 to 20 percent” – Intersnack Magyarország Kft. told Világgazdaság Online.
This year, the company expects a 11 billion HUF revenue, that is similar to last year’s. Due to the public health product tax, the domestic consumption of the company's products decreased, but it was offseted by the company's exports. About three-quarters of the company’s production goes to exports. 14 thousand tons of cargo are produced annually, mostly salty sticks, salted pretzels, crackers products and extruded goods. (MTI)
