Zsendülés 2025: Horticultural Conference with Industry Decision-Makers
Szeged will host the jubilee X. Zsendülés Horticultural Conference, which will take place on February 27-28, 2025, welcoming professionals and decision-makers from the horticultural sector. The event aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the industry’s current situation, future prospects, and professional and market challenges.
First Day: Economic Overview and Market-Oriented Solutions
The first day of the conference will focus on the macroeconomic environment and the national economic significance of the horticultural sector. Speakers will include Dr. Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture (invited), and economist Zoltán Pogátsa, who will provide insights into the state of the Hungarian economy in 2025. Roundtable discussions will cover topics such as labor market challenges, market trends, and development opportunities.
Later in the day, an international outlook will be presented by renowned experts such as Peter Maes (Koppert BV) and Wim Rodenburg (Dutch Produce Association), who will share their perspectives on global horticultural market trends and innovations.
Second Day: TÉSZ Professional Day
The second day of the conference will focus on the operation and regulations of Producer Organizations (TÉSZ). The program will feature Bittsánszky Márton, Head of the Agricultural Market Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, who will discuss the experiences of implementing the Operational Program in Hungary. International speakers will present strategies used in other EU countries to optimize the efficiency of Producer Organizations.
Key Programs and Networking Opportunities
One of the highlights of the conference will be the entrepreneurial inspiration session, where journalist Krizsó Szilvia and clinical psychologist Dr. Kitti Almási will discuss the psychological aspects of professional challenges. Evening programs will include a wine tasting and a gala dinner, where the Zsendülés Awards will be presented.
The event provides an annual opportunity for representatives of the horticultural sector to connect directly with market players and decision-makers. Participation is eligible for reimbursement under the national TÉSZ support scheme, and consultants can earn credit points.
