Displays going greener
POPAI UK&Ireland founded its POS/POP self-regulatory environmental section called ‘Green Project’ 2 years ago. To celebrate the anniversary they organised a seminar where they presented PSS, the POPAI Sustainability Standard: a two-stage sustainability accreditation process. Participants have to complete an online audit which examines the environmental impacts of POP tool design, manufacturing, usage and logistics. A special calculator is used to define the environmental impacts of a display, and this is followed by an online accreditation process.
