The EU-Japan Free Trade Agreement was given a green light
The Council of EU Member States approved the signing of the free trade agreement between the European Union and Japan on Friday.
The signing is expected to take place on Wednesday at the EU-Japan summit in Brussels.
In Japan and in the EU-28, nearly 640 million people are living, accounting for nearly 30 percent of the global economy, their proportion is nearly 40 percent of the total world trade turnover. Japan is the sixth largest export market of the European Union, and the EU is Japan’s third most important destination market. (MTI)
