Green-school action from Tesco
Tesco started a waste returning competition between 11th September 2009 and 11th January 2010 called; “Is your school green?” The campaign is the continuation of the earlier actions, “Who will be greener?” and “Thirst for prizes?”
Tesco-Global Zrt was the first in January 2009, that introduced the returning system of PET bottles and aluminum cans, which is now extended to 49 stores.
The "Is your school green?" competition is addressed to the students. The students will get a stamp after 200 PET bottles and aluminum cans redemption into their stamp collecting booklet, which van be downloaded from the website www.ecotesco.hu. With collecting five booklets, the participants can take part in prize draw, to win participation on an ice skating party with stars. Two additional schools can win 300 thousand HUF Tesco shopping vouchers – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
