Zamárdi’s own beer also debuted at the Balaton Beer Weekend
From Friday afternoon to Sunday night, guests could taste 40 types of beer specialties at the Balaton Beer Weekend in Zamárdi, the ZAM! on the beach next to the terrace. Small-scale breweries from the Balaton and Transdanubia regions settled at the festival: in addition to the smallest and largest craft brewery in Pécs, Győr, Kőszeg, Tapolca, Balatonföldvár and Balatonvilágos also brought their best batches.
Those who chose the Balaton Beer Weekend as their program for Sunday evening could watch the EC final on the largest projector on the South Coast. Concerts, hanging balloons, the best street food and the best beers from the surrounding regions awaited the visitors from Friday.
“It’s exciting to take a look at the beers of the Transdanubian region: here the big trends of the beer world are reflected in a small way. Everything is easier to drink and alcohol-free has conquered. In the meantime, such boundary-pushing drinks as the Helka black Kölsche, which is a non-existent type of beer, have also been born. The development of fruit beers has not stopped either , and we could already taste cherry cream ale from Steamcraft, while traditional lagers and pilsers also received more and more attention from brewers and consumers alike,” Bart Dániel, the host of the Balaton Beer Weekend, said about the trends and the festival’s offer. During a 3-day event, he organized a beer standup, combined with a tasting.
In addition to the drinks, there were various types of beer skates, Balkan pljeskavica, smash burgers, fish&chips, raclette, bbq and churros. Zamárdi’s own beer also debuted at the event.
