Almost half of the corn has been harvested in Zala County
Forty-five percent of the corn is harvested in Zala County, the average yield is 6.98 tons per hectare – Süle Katalin, county chairman of the National Association of Agricultural Economics (NAK) told MTI.
Harvest is ready on 21,736 hectares out of the total sown area of 47,845 hectares. There are quality problems with the high toxin content of the maize, due to the rainy weather.
According to information of MTI; last year, the average yield was less than 4 tons per hectare, while in teh previous years yieéd was an average 6.5-7 tons per hectare. (MTI)
