Work is underway on the National School Garden Development Program

The equipment is constantly being delivered to the institutions that have won the tender of the National School Garden Development Program, and horticultural and pedagogical mentoring is also in full swing. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture will support the establishment of another 50 kindergartens and 50 school gardens, the development of mentor gardens and the preparation of institutions for the role of mentors, Minister Nagy István told MTI on Monday.

The program didn’t stop with pandemiological restrictions either, but mentors pay close attention to staying outdoors in the garden during their visits. In the 30-hour in-service teacher training, school and kindergarten leaders take part in two stages, depending on the situation. In the summer, the theoretical curriculum can be acquired through online learning through distance learning. Practical, on-site training is expected to be held in the fall. (MTI)
