X5 expanding at breakneck speed
Russia’s biggest retail chain X5 continues the dynamic expansion in 2018. Back in 2017 X5’s sales soared by 25.5 percent and they added 2,934 new shops to their portfolio. CEO Igor Shekhterman revealed that they are planning to acquire the grocery store chain Ufa – this step would increase the number of X5 stores by another 100.
