Sz. Variant from Debrecen won a WorldStar award with a Stühmer packaging

For the winning packaging, the company used digital, laser die-cutting technology, which can replace traditional metal die-cutting tools. According to the press release, the solution can result in 80-90% lower carbon dioxide emissions over the tool’s life cycle, and the amount of waste generated can be reduced by up to 98%, while enabling on-demand production.

According to the announcement, the box is made predominantly of paper-based cardboard, with raw materials from FSC-certified sources, and is delivered flat-packed, which can also reduce logistics volume requirements.
