It’s surprising what Hungarians order on Valentine’s Day
The trends related to the celebration around Valentine’s Day change from year to year, and based on recent statistics from the food delivery company Wolt, this year is no exception. According to the survey, most people celebrate with their favorite comfort foods, and every third user chooses some special delicacy on the special day.
Sweet indulgence in the world of desserts
In terms of food orders, in 2023, every third Wolt user was tempted by some kind of chocolate or cake. American-style sweets were particularly popular among the desserts chosen to end the romantic dinner. Apple pie proved to be the best seller, followed by blueberry dark chocolate, maple syrup pancakes, brownie cheesecake and tiramisu.
Flowers: tulips before red roses
Flowers are the protagonists of Valentine’s Day. Although the red rose is traditionally a symbol of love, Wolt users surprisingly preferred colorful tulips, and they took first place on the podium of the most popular bouquets. Among the top 5 plants, there were other types of tulips, and even some that came with a teddy bear as a gift.
