Wizz Air: passengers should constantly monitor flight information
Several Wizz Air flights were affected by the extreme weather conditions. On Tuesday morning, the airline’s 5 aircraft bound for Ferihegy were forced to land at another airport, while the flights to Budapest that have not yet started are waiting at the departure station until the aircraft can be received in Budapest. The airline asks its passengers who have booked directly with Wizz Air to constantly monitor the flight information received in the mobile application, via email, and via SMS.
In a statement sent to MTI, Wizz Air recalled:
The airports in Budapest, Bratislava, and Vienna are also temporarily closed, and the sleet is affecting all air transport players.
The airline is working closely with airport operators to ensure that all passengers reach their destinations as soon as possible.
On Passengers who have landed at another airport will be transported by Wizz Air to the scheduled airport as soon as possible by plane or bus
– they announced.
Wizz Air asks for the patience and understanding of passengers, but the safety of air traffic, passengers, crew and aircraft is always the most important thing – they wrote.
