Whisk(e)ys on top
The International Wines and Spirits Record (IWSR) has ranked the world's best distillates again. The Jack Daniel's finished tied for first place. The American whiskey came forward from last year's third place, beating the Hennessy. This year, a total of 144 brands have been introduced among the bests.
At least 20,000 units of a 9-liter carton had to be sold to be indicated on the list of IWSR list, in addition it is a requirement that the brand had to be present in the international market. The 2014 ranking was compiled inter alia, on the basis of last year's sales figures, the achieved growth and on the basis of the price of the drink. The first two finishers, Jack Daniel's and Johnnie Walker, reached the same points.
