On 11 September the European Journalism Centre (EJC) organised a workshop – as part of a series – in Budapest, called New Impact Summit. Invited journalists listened to presentations and discussions about how to operate successfully on various digital platforms. Many market leading, rapidly developing and newly established online magazines presented strategies and examples of how to set their feet in the market and make profit.
Speakers came from Spiegel, The Washington Post, BBC, 444.hu, Atlatszo.hu and Direkt36. The workshop’s conclusion was that today it isn’t enough for survival if a website adapts to changes: new ways and continuous innovation are necessary for staying in the business, and survival is impossible without the Facebook-YouTube-Twitter trinity. //
