Waberer’s Group: Female Logistician of the Year was elected again this year
Waberer’s Group wants to improve the proportion of women working in logistics – especially in management positions. The company has therefore announced the Women’s Logistician of the Year award for the second time together with the trade magazine Navigátorvilág. This year, they announced a shared first place: Ágota Balogh, CEO of Royal Sped Zrt., and Judit Palicska, Managing Director of Waberer’s Network Kft., received the award. Increasing the presence of women is also important in the recruitment process, so this year they announced a winner in a new category, Nikolett Zámbó received the Young Women’s Logistician of the Year award from Waberer’s Group.
This year, women who have achieved outstanding performance in logistics were also awarded: the Women’s Logistician of the Year award was established in 2023 by the Waberer’s Group and the professional media Navigátorvilág as a tradition. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of gender equality and support the increase of women’s presence in the logistics sector, as well as to open up new opportunities for talented female leaders.
These are this year’s winners
The winners were once again selected by a professional jury from nearly 40 applications received through recommendations. The recommendation had to include the candidate’s professional career, awards, and what qualities or achievements make the professional outstanding in the world of logistics. An important aspect in selecting the winners was also the impact they have on their local or wider environment.
The jury’s work included last year’s winner Gabriella Szécsi, CEO of BI-KA Logisztika Kft., Dr. Márton Lányi, CEO of Kühne + Nagel Kft. Managing Director and President of the Hungarian Transporters Association (MSZSZ), Zsolt Fülöp, founder of Trans-Sped and President of the Hungarian Logistics Service Centers Association (MLSZKSZ), Zsolt Barna, President and CEO of Waberer’s and President of the Hungarian Road Transporters Association (MKFE), and Zsolt Bándy, Publisher of Navigátorvilág.
The Female Logistician of the Year 2024 was shared with Ágota Balogh, CEO of Royal Sped Zrt., and Judit Palicska, Managing Director of Waberer’s Network Kft.
