VOSZ: The ban on Sunday opening hours can cause 250 billion HUF losses
According to the calculations of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ); the ban on Sunday opening hours can cause a direct 250 billion HUF losses to the budget- said Dávid Ferenc, Secretary of VOSZ to MTI, adding that this is only the most conservative estimate, a larger decrease in revenue is likely to occur.
Dávid Ferenc stressed, that the retail sales declined in the last four years, so now when the significant part of the merchants were hit by the special tax it isdifficult to explain to close the stores on Sunday. He also talked about the labor market trends for the next year. He said that the government’s expectations of the 0.6 percent expansion in employement can be realistic – reports portfolio.hu.
