Vegetable-growers get a compensation for not being able to see due to German epidemic
The Agricultural and Rurual Development Authority (MVH) has bega the payment of compensation for farmers who have not been able to sell their products because of the German E-Coli epidemic – the Ministry of Agriculture announced on Wednesday.
In Hungary, a total of 4849 tons of vegetables – mainly paprika, cucumber, tomato and salad – caused a problem to farmers, so they want a compensation of 1.5 million euro. The authority in charge at EU accepted these claims, and the payments are starting this week.
