VM: the government is doing everything against the cultivation of the 1507 GMO maize
The government will take all necessary measures, to ensure that no one will grow the genetically modified (GMO) maize in Hungary, called Pioneer 1507 – the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) told MTI on Monday.
With this measure, the Hungarian agriculture can remain GMO-free and the uniquely rich natural resources of the country can be protected as well- the release adds. The manufacturer of the Pioneer 1507 GMO maize, the Pioneer Hi-Bred filed its application to the EU in 2001, to obtain production licenses covering the whole European Union. (MTI)
