World Water Day: a new type of water purifier has been developed in Hungary
The water purifier, which is considered a pioneer in our country and can be simply installed on the tap, was developed for almost a year, and was presented by the manufacturer, Wellnet Kft., approaching World Water Day on March 22. The special feature of the company’s activated carbon water purifier, which meets international standards, lies in its technical solution. Thanks to the new product’s filtration technology, it produces quality drinking water from tap water cheaply and conveniently, and you don’t even have to worry about returning empty bottles.
Every year since 1993, World Water Day has been celebrated on March 22. The event aims to draw attention to the importance of clean water available to everyone and the threat to freshwater resources. The leading theme of World Water Day 2025 is “Preserve our glaciers!”.
In order for glaciers, streams, rivers, lakes and seas to survive, we must do our part to protect the world around us. The message of the World Day is that we can all do something about it!
This year, as every year, Wellnet Kft. wants to support the World Day in its own way with a unique, attention-grabbing, special event related to World Water Day. Those who are concerned about environmental pollution should choose tap water! This is Wellnet’s message for World Water Day.
Environmental awareness and water protection are of paramount importance, which is why Wellnet Kft. has scheduled the presentation of its latest, self-developed, affordable family water purifier for this date.
István Guzorán, the company’s managing director, said that there is an increasing demand on the Hungarian market for water purifiers that are free of unnecessary extras and that do their job well without any frills. That is why they wanted to launch a Hungarian-developed product on the market that produces quality drinking water from tap water at a family-friendly price, making it accessible to everyone.
“Tap water is one of the most strictly controlled foods in the European Union and in Hungary, providing us with clean, infection-free drinking water – one of the greatest achievements of humanity. We can largely thank chlorine for this safety, which acts as an effective disinfectant to protect the water network from pathogens. However, it also has a downside: chlorine gives tap water a characteristic taste and odor that is unpleasant for many, which is why many people are not satisfied with its quality. Fortunately, there is a simple solution: with the help of a Wellnet water purifier, the unpleasant effect of chlorine can be filtered out, so tap water becomes fresh and natural again”
– explained the drinking water consultant.
