Eszter Vitályos: tourism is one of Hungary’s driving forces
Tourism is one of the driving forces of Hungary, currently providing a stable livelihood for more than 400,000 families in Hungary – the government spokesperson stated on Wednesday in Sajóbábony, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, at the handover of the Bábony Lookout and the associated educational trail.

Eszter Vitályos stated that the latest statistical data show that more than 1.7 million guests arrived in Hungary in May, 3.5 percent more than in May last year.
She stated that the government is continuously working to attract more and more foreign guests here, and that Hungarian families can spend more and more on travel and recreation.
He added that
the government aims to maintain and further strengthen the momentum and competitiveness of the sector in the long term, and is therefore creating new, targeted tourism loan structures for the sector. He indicated that the extremely preferential options are expected to become available in the fall.
The government spokesperson said about the investment, which was “built in one of the most beautiful places in the country in an unparalleled natural environment with 63.5 million forints under the TOP Plusz program”.
He added that the most important thing is that families come here, either on foot or by bicycle, who can relax and admire the special harmony of the landscape in peace.
“I hope that this lookout serves the most important things: our families, our communities, their relaxation and recharge,” added Eszter Vitályos.
