The summer tourist season in Austria proved to be relatively good
“The summer tourism season wasn’t as bad as we had expected,” Oliver Fritz, a tourism expert at the Wifo Economic Research Institute, said in ORF radio’s morning magazine. “The data turned out quite well in July.”
According to calculations by the Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut (Wifo) in Vienna, from May to July, revenues in the tourism sector fell by 44.1 percent to 3.95 billion euros, compared to a year before. (MTI)
