Walmart: retreat or attack?

Walmart drastically reduces the planned number of large-floor space store openings in the USA: instead of the 120 opened this year only 60-70 Walmarts will open in 2015. The retail giant focuses on strengthening its online presence and on opening small neighbourhood shops. In 2014 Walmart opened 170 Neighborhood Markets and next year will build 200, plus 20 WalmMart Express stores (this year 70 such units were opened)
