Food industry in recession
Industrial production was up by 4.3 per cent in March 2008, compared to the same month in 2007. Industrial production was 6.9 per cent higher in the first quarter of 2008, than a year earlier. The output of the food, beverage and tobacco industry was down by 12.1 per cent.
