A drop in retail sales in Germany
German retail sales dropped in December, according to the data of the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In December 2013, on an annual basis retail sales decreased by 1.4 percent in nominal terms, and fell by 2.4 percent in real terms.
According to seasonally adjusted datas, retail sales decreased by 2.3 percent in nominal terms, and fell by 2.5 percent in real terms, compared to November.
In 2013 as a whole retail sales increased by 1.4 percent in nominal terms, and increased by 0.1 percent in real terms compared to 2012. (MTI, hirado.hu)
