A drop in retail sales in Europe
The retail trade decreased by 1.2 percent in April, compared to March in the euro zone and in the whole European Union – said Eurostat on Thursday.
According to the report of the Union's statistical office; compared to a year earlier a 1.5 percent decline occured in the euro zone and a 1.6 percent, at the 27 member states. Experts expected a 0.1 percent monthly increase for the euro area, and a 0.2 percent decline on an annual level – reports piacesprofit.hu.
