Chinese garlic exports fell
Hungary imports about 1,000 tons of garlic a year, 40-50 percent of which is Chinese goods coming to Hungary via the Netherlands, writes the FruitVeB Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organization and Product Council. In China, the price of garlic fell due to significant domestic stocks, while the world market price rose by 27 percent in May, for example. In late July, heavy rains hit Henan Province, causing the worst floods in history. (agrarszektor.hu)
