Demand declined for Hungarian acacia honey
Because of the Chinese counterfeiting scandal, the demand declined for Hungarian acacia honey with 20-25 percent – Haász Ferenc, president of the Beekeepers Association in Békés County told MTI.
He said that due to the Chinese honey scandal – when four plants mixed 40 percent of Chinese industrial honey to the Hungarian acacia honey – purchase prices have fallen: currently the wholesale price is 1200-1400 HUF per kilo, while it was above 1600 HUF. (MTI)
