Tourism in Gyula declining
Tourism in Békés-county is slowly declining, according to fresh data, the first two months have not been particularly successful. Still, experts are optimistic: the season in Gyula may be better.
Guestnights spent in Békés-county have reached the number of those two years ago. Gyula is the town where most of the tourism-related income derives from: January closed with 17 thousand guestnights (instead of the usual 20 thousand as it had been last year) and in February when the renaissance carneval takes place, 17 thousand guestnights instead of the expected 25.5 thousand.
