Visit Hungary: campaign launched to boost domestic traffic
Visit Hungary is launching a campaign aimed at stimulating domestic travel, for which accommodation providers and spas are invited to apply – explained Olivér Csendes, CEO of Visit Hungary, on TV2’s Mokka program on Wednesday morning.
He added that in the national campaign, accommodation providers were asked to offer at least a 5 percent discount, and spas a 15 percent discount. In addition, everyone is free to provide additional discounts or “be creative in treating visitors” – he said.
Csendes Olivér said that with the national domestic campaign, they would like to draw attention to winter recreation opportunities, which are important for maintaining health. According to him, I would like to show everyone that it is worth traveling domestically even in winter.
The integrated communication campaign called Recharge will take place between January 26 and February 23, 2026. The campaign’s communication will appear on television, online, public and social media platforms, as well as in content producer collaborations – he explained, adding: more than 400 service providers have already applied, and they hope that the number of service providers joining the campaign will reach 500.
In the last campaign with similar content, more than 86 million people viewed the service providers’ offers on the csodasmagyarorszag.hu website. You can also apply for the campaign that is now starting on this platform, the CEO added. The application deadline is January 22nd, and joining is free for service providers, according to the information published on the organization’s website.
