Sausages rush in November and December, 5 thousand tons sold last year
Accdording to Nielsen market research company; Close to 5 billion HUF, approx. 5 thousand tons of sausages were sold in November and December last year. Thus, 19 percent of the annual volume was sold in the Christmas-New Year period.
The annual sales of sausages exceeded 27 billion HUF, between November 2008 and October 2009. This is a 9 percent increase, compared to the previous comparable period.
Thirty-six percent of the sausages were the own branded products of the chains. This data was thirty-seven percent in September-October in volume, such as in the year before.
