VIMOSZ: tourism companies’ expectations improved in April
The expectations of tourism companies improved in April compared to a year earlier, the National Association of Tourist and Hospitality Employers (VIMOSZ) announced to MTI based on the latest survey conducted with the cooperation of GKI Economic Researcher.
The tourism business index (tki) stood at plus 5 points in April, and the players of the sector perceived their situation as positive. The last time the index was at a higher level was in June 2022. The value of kti increased by 7 points in the fourth month of the year and exceeded its value by 3 points a year ago.
The index reflected the decline in March in accommodation services and hospitality, while it also rose in other tourism sectors, for the second month after March, they said.
Among the sub-sectors, the index of the other tourism sector improved significantly in an annual comparison, while that of hospitality is the same as last year, and that of accommodation services is slightly lower.
