Coffee can become more expensive worldwide
Because of the bad crop prospects and the drought in Brazil, the price of the coffee’s raw material increased by more than 50 percent this year. As a result, the price of coffee may increase soon in Hungary as well – the Conclude Investment Ltd. told MTI.
According to their analysis sent to MTI, the standard 60 kilogrammes coffee bags in the beginning of the year cost 110 USD, while at the end of February the price increased to 170 USD per coffee bag.
They point out that more than a third of Brazil's coffee plantations suffered damages, which affects the world market price of coffee a significantly, because the South American country produces the most coffee beans in the world. (MTI)
