Decreasing occupancy rate in hotels, all over the world
According to the datas published by STRGlobal; with an average, nearly 12 percent decline occured at the world's hotel occupancy rate in the first half of the year. London had the smallest decrease, while Buenos Aires had the biggest.
The occupancy rate decreased only 1.1 percent in the hotels of London, while Buenos Aires suffered a drop of over 25 percent. The crisis rearranged the order among the cities. Last year, the occupancy rate was better in Sydney, New York, Hong Kong and Dubai than in London.
The Hungarian hotel markets also marked by a decline. The occupancy rate of the Hungarian units of Danubius fell to 51.2 percent from last year's 59.5 percent in the first part of the year – reports portfolio.hu.
