International brands move to Székesfehérvár
On 19 September National Economy Minister Mihály Varga and mayor András Cser-Palkovics were both present when Mondelez’s new production unit was inaugurated in Székesfehérvár. Milka, Cadbury TUC, LU and Ritz chocolate sandwich biscuits will exclusively be manufactured here. In three years Mondelez International invested more than HUF 11 billion in developing Győri Keksz’s chocolate factory in Székesfehérvár, where three new production lines were built and 350 new jobs were created in the region. Mondelez also built a new chocolate storage tank, a packaging warehouse and a raw material storage facility. The three-phase investment increased production capacity by 70 percent. Philip A. Hodges, senior vice president of Mondelez Europe told at the ceremony that the Székesfehérvár factory produces the tastiest snack products. Mondelez Hungária sales director Gábor Mayer added that today’s consumers want innovative products and the company develops chocolate biscuit products with this in mind.
