With a series of videos, the NAK also helps farmers learn about the new Common Agricultural Policy
The National Chamber of Agrarian Economy is launching a nearly 20-part video series about the new Common Agricultural Policy (KAP). In the short films of a few minutes, farmers and interested parties can learn about the history and financing of the CAP, the system of direct subsidies with the green structure, including the agro-ecology program, but also find out about support for young farmers, subsidies tied to production, and the largest source of rural development ever details as well.
The National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK) has a decisive role in introducing the new agricultural support system to farmers and actors in the agricultural and food industry. This informative activity is served by the nearly 20-part video series, which, among other things, presents the history, financing and pillars of the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), describes direct subsidies, the green structure of the new CAP – including the new eligible areas, conditionality and with an agro-ecology program. It deals with the support of young farmers, subsidies linked to production, and through national co-financing raised to 80 percent, more resources for rural development than ever before.
In the next few weeks, the short videos of a few minutes will continuously appear on the NAK portal, as well as on the Facebook page and YouTube channel of Balázs Győrffy, the president of the NAK.
The collection page on the Chamber’s portal (https://www.nak.hu/kap-2023-2027), which is regularly updated, describes the information related to the Common Agricultural Policy and the detailed conditions of the new forms of support. In cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, it organized farmer forums across the country and published several informative publications. Such is the short, easy-to-understand summary of the main elements of the subsidies of the Common Agricultural Policy between 2023-2027, which focuses on the most essential information required for submitting a single application. In addition, the publication on the system of conditionality rules, subsidies tied to production, the agro-ecology program, and support for young producers starting their agricultural activities can be studied. A KAP calculator is also available, where producers can calculate their expected support, tailored to their own farm. In addition to all this, the Chamber’s village farmers provide professional and technical assistance to all domestic farmers so that they can successfully meet the new expectations and make the best decisions when applying for subsidies. Furthermore, during the period of submission of uniform applications, they are available to farmers to submit subsidy applications.
