VHT: the pork strategy stabilized the situation in the sector
The pork strategy stabilized the situation of the sector – the Secretary of the Livestock and Meat Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board (VHT) told MTI on Wednesday.
Menczel Lászlóné added that although the pig population has not increased in contrast with the previously goals of the strategy, the pig population is still around three million. The most important results of the 2012 strategy announced by the ministry is that the sector has survived the critical periods of the past years. She said that the industry was seriously hit by indirect effects of the Russian embargo. (MTI)
