Change of leadership at the head of Lidl Hungary
Jenő Grósz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lidl Hungary, will be appointed to the position of Regional Director at Lidl’s parent company from September 2024, in which he will be responsible for several countries in his new duties. With his extensive experience, he will play a key role in shaping the development of several Lidl countries.
Jenő Grósz started his career at Lidl Hungary in 2004, which he has led for 13 years as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Regarding the appointment, he said:
“I was happy to take on this extremely challenging new task, as development is essential not only for a company, but also for all colleagues and thus for me personally. I would like to thank our customers, all our employees and partners for the joint work of the past 20 years, the experience and support, because without it neither Lidl Hungary nor I could be where we have been together. I wish Zita the best of luck in her leadership of Lidl Hungary!”
Jenő Grósz will be succeeded in the position of President of the Board of Directors from September 1, 2024 by Zita Slavikovics, who is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Lidl Slovakia. He has been with Lidl since 2007, of which he worked for Lidl Hungary for 11 years, and then gained extensive international experience through leadership positions in several countries. Zita said the following about the change:
“It gives me great pleasure to be able to lead and support the Lidl Hungary team from September with the experience I gathered in Romania, Denmark and Slovakia after Hungary. In any case, I will try to continue the successes so far and enrich them with new ones to the satisfaction of our customers and colleagues.”
