UPS bought a leading logistics service provider
UPS announced yesterday that it has closed its previously announced acquisition of Bomi Group, a leading multinational healthcare logistics provider. Through the acquisition, the company’s healthcare business, UPS Healthcare, expands the UPS network in Europe and Latin America with temperature-controlled facilities in 14 countries and 3,000 highly skilled employees.

The UPS Healthcare team has developed a detailed transition plan
The company will operate as Bomi Group, a UPS Company, with CEO Marco Ruini joining UPS Healthcare’s management team. UPS Healthcare customers now have access to 216 facilities with a total of approximately 1.6 million square meters of cGMP and GDP compliant healthcare distribution space in 37 countries and territories worldwide.
“Together with Marco Ruini and the Bomi team, UPS Healthcare will offer even more perfect and globally integrated solutions to our customers across Europe and Latin America,”
said Kate Gutmann, executive vice president of international healthcare and supply chain solutions at UPS.
