Change of CEO at the Béres Pharmaceutical Factory
In September, a new CEO arrived at the head of the family-owned pharmaceutical company: Balázs Major Ferenc Sipos, who is retiring, will replace the CEO of Béres Gyógyszergyár, the company told MTI on Wednesday.
With the appointment of the new CEO, the company’s goal, in addition to ensuring the continuity of operational management, is to further strengthen its market positions and achieve new successes in the field of health care both at home and on foreign markets with continuous innovations.
In 2002, the company acquired an ownership stake in Hungary’s leading pharmaceutical wholesale company, Hungaropharma Zrt., where Ferenc Major serves as chairman of the supervisory board. In addition, several of his public roles are worth mentioning: he is a member of the board of the National Association of Hungarian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, vice president and chairman of the OTC Committee, as well as a committee member of the Self-Regulatory Advertising Board.
In order to ensure a successful transition, Major Ferenc, as a member of the board and as an advisor to the CEO, will temporarily assist the new CEO in his work, they wrote.
