Seed Association: there will be a smooth supply of spring cereal seeds in the market

Supply problems in the spring cereal seed market are not expected this year either, as forecast by the Seed Association Interprofessional Organization and Product Council; the organization announced a net indicative price of 111,000 HUF for these seeds.

According to a statement submitted to MTI on Thursday, the seed-growing area of spring barley increased by 8 percent compared to a year earlier, crop expected to be around 4,800 tons. In the case of oats, 2900 tonnes of metal-sealed seed stocks can be expected from 1000 hectares. (MTI)
