Losses, but increased revenues at Metro in the second quarter
Due to extraordinary expenses, losses occurred at Metro in the second quarter. According to the result published yesterday, Germany's leading trade company has a 28 million euros after tax loss, while a year ago the profit of the group was 40 million euros.
Metro’s sales revenues increased by 1.8 percent to 15.8 billion euros, the operating profit increased by 2.5 percent to 314 million euros. However, the company's management believes that taking the entire year into account, the results will be roughly the same as last year’s. (MTI, tozsdeforum.hu)
