Loss in the first half year at Danubius
The Danubius Hotel and Spa Nyrt. has reached a 1.3 billion HUF pre-tax loss in the first half of 2009. In the same period of last year its pre-tax profit was 0.7 billion HUF.
According to the report of the first half year, the total revenue was 21 billion HUF, which was a 5 percent reduction compared to the first six months of 2008. However, the operating loss
became smaller by 88 percent, compared to the previous year. The revenue of its Hungarian Hotels fell by 11 percent to 12.3 billion HUF, mainly due to the deteriorating overnight stays. The average number of employees of the group in the first six months of the year was 4869, 461 less than last year – reports MTI.
