Dangerous import vegetables in Germany
With plant-protection material tainted pepper from Turkey and Spain were found in Germany. The 2/3 of the turkish pepper and 1/3 of spanish pepper contained dangerous material.
In winter the Food Safety Institute in Baden-Württemberg
found not allowed plant-protection material in the pepper imported from Spain.
At a new control at the turkish and spanish pepper were plant-protection
material remains found. The Institute asks the importer to check the pepper
buying form Turkey.
The german consumer protections organizations recommend to
wash every vegetable and fruit several times and to buy organic foods.
