Competition for the “Most Beautiful kitchen garden” title

This year, more than eight hundred kitchen gardens of sixty settlements will compete for the “Most Beautiful kitchen garden” title.

The aim of the movement is gardening and self-sufficiency. The movement was brought to life last year by Karcag’s Deputy Mayor Kovács Szilvia. With the revival and development of the ancient tradition of garden culture, both at rural settlements and both at urban locations, the vegetable demand of a family can be produced – the Thursday's release of the organizers brings to mind the purpose of the program.  (MTI)
